1. Data we process

• Account: e-mail address, name, password (stored hashed).
• Health & fitness data: weight, height, body measurements, goals, workout and meal logs, nutrition values, fasting and hydration records.
• Photos: meal photos (for AI analysis) and progress photos you upload yourself.
• Technical data: device push token (notification delivery), timezone, language.
• Usage data: which features and screens you use, app version, device type and error reports.
• Purchases: your plan and purchase status, which we receive from Apple, Google or Stripe. We never see your card details.
• AI nutrition coach: the questions you write to the coach and its answers, if you turn the coach on.

2. Purposes

To run the app: your diary, recommended targets, AI meal-photo analysis and the AI nutrition coach (only with your consent), paid plans, notifications you enable yourself, and trainer collaboration if you activate it. We do not sell data, share it for advertising, or track you across apps.

We also use product analytics and error reports to improve the app (legitimate interest). They are linked to a random account ID, never to your e-mail or name, and you can turn them off anytime in the app settings under "Share usage statistics". Our website fitprogress.app uses cookieless analytics and stores nothing in your browser.

3. Processors

• Supabase (database & authentication, EU infrastructure)
• Google Gemini API (AI meal-photo analysis: the meal photo, portion weight and your correction note; AI nutrition coach: your meals for the selected period, goals, sex, age, activity, weight and your questions - only after your explicit consent; Google does not use this data to train its models or improve its products)
• Apple App Store and Google Play (in-app purchases and subscriptions)
• Stripe (payments for trainer plans and trainer products)
• Cloudflare R2 (photo storage)
• Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (push notifications)
• PostHog (product analytics and error reports, hosted in the EU in Frankfurt)

4. AI estimates

Nutrition values from photos and recommended daily targets are estimates, not medical or dietary advice. Consult a professional for health decisions.

Before your first AI meal analysis and before you turn on the AI nutrition coach, the app asks for your explicit consent and tells you what is sent. You can withdraw each consent at any time in Settings; you can always log meals manually.

5. Retention & deletion

We keep data while your account exists. You can permanently delete your account in-app (Profile → Settings → Delete account) or via the deletion request page. Database records are removed immediately; uploaded photos are purged from storage within 30 days.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability and objection - contact info@fitprogress.app. You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
